Hello Everyone,
I hope all is well with you. Aside from being innundated with snow, life is good. I recently submitted my first page for critique at Slushbusters (http://www.slushbusters.blogspot.com/).
I'm quite nervous about opening my work for public scrutiny, but I hope the comments I receive will identify glitches in my writing. After all, I cannot correct a problem unless I'm aware one exists. This said, I'd appreciate it if some, or all of you, would drop by Slushbusters and take a gander at my first page. I'll take all the help I can get(: I look forwad to your feedback (gulp).
Until next time, happy writing.

Enjoyed reading your first page on Slushbusters - see the comment I left there for my thoughts on it - keep writing, although you are very brave to put your work out there...not sure I am ready yet.

It is truly a brave thing to put your work out in the world for public scrutiny. Thanks for trusting in the process!
ReplyDeleteMany thanks to both of you for the thoughtful and helpful feedback.
ReplyDeleteI love your blog and I can't wait to read your first page, I'll be heading over there now! I look forward to following you!
ReplyDeleteI'm so going by to have a look. You have a great week.
ReplyDeleteWarm regards,
Simone
Welcome to Aspiring Novelist's Jen. Simone thanks for your continued support.
ReplyDeleteAlthough seeing my weaknesses identified through other people's eyes took me through some rough seas, I made it to land unscathed. The experience has helped me to become a better "Captain of my ship" so to speak. After I turn in my revision on Wednesday we'll see what the weather brings(:
Congratulations! That's VERY brave of you--I don't know if I could do that. Best of luck with your critiques!
